NCLEX Topics
3y
Hey everyone! I took my test on July 13th and I found out today that I passed. I would like to tell you guys what I did just in case it helps someone else. I graduated on May 1 and I decided to take a week off from everything before I started to study. I found archer and saw they had a 6-week intense prep program. That involved two days of live review and then two days of small groups where you can ask questions and really get one-on-one which I needed. After that ended, I made sure to write down the rationales for the questions I had missed that were 40% and above, and for questions that I was confused about. I listened to the Mark k lectures with archer because he would emphasize something archer had already said which would make it stick out more to me. I bought these dry-erase plastic things that stick to walls and I hung them up all over my house and wrote my notes on them. That helped me as well by just passive learning. One of the questions on my nclex I know I got right because I remember it hanging on my brother’s bedroom door. I used all the techniques that I could. Two weeks before my exam I found NCLEX high yield and I watched his Ask Graph video and I used that technique to answer the prioritization questions on my test. I also listen to as many of his YouTube videos as I could and listened to his podcast. A few of the things he said in his Spotify podcast appeared exactly how he said they would on my test. The day before my test I ended up just reviewing notes and old quizzes for a few hours and just relaxing my mind. I made a few quizzes with all my incorrect questions and I kept scoring above peer average on them. When I took the CAT exams on archer, I made sure to pay attention to where my line dipped and on every CAT I took I started to dip in the 40s so when I took my NCLEX I made sure to take a break and walk around just to refocus myself. My test ended at 107 and it ended on a question that I know 100% I got right. Also, I had the Saunders book but I did not use it as much as I should of. I did do some of their practice quizzes online that come with the book they are so wordy compared to the nclex. Archers’ readiness assessments looked and felt like the nclex. I did buy the NCSBN NCLEX practice test and to me, it was worth the money just so I could get my mind right and one of the topics that were on the two tests came up on my test which I was glad I studied more on after the practice test. On the Practice test, I got 55% and a 60%. I heard anything over 50% is good.
Here are my readiness assessment scores. For their Q bank, I average 56% and I only had 30-40 questions left to do.

Do not let your anxiety mess up how you answer questions. When you go into the test room go in with a calm body and spirit. Whatever gets thrown at you, you either know it or you do not. There is nothing you can do to change that at that moment. You got this!!!
